According to the Department of Labor's website, an extension has been granted for those who qualify for the Cobra Premium Reduction for an additional 6 months, totaling of 15 months.This program, enacted under last year's ARRA, offers qualifying people the ability to pay 35% of the Cobra rate for 9 months (now 15 months). That is significant savings to the many families who need this to continue insurance.
